Display Whitelist URL using SAP Personas WebPage Launch Button

SAP Screen Personas Launch button enables users to open web pages from other domains if they are entered in the whitelist URLs list as a safelink list item.

If you want to add a button on SAP Personas flavor or layout design which will directly open a web page, you can use Launch Button from Control Box.

ABAP developer or SAP Personas customizer can define the launch button properties to open and display a target WEB URL using the launch button type as "Webpage" and providing the web URL as shown in below screenshot.

Of course, it is possible to change the look and feel of the launch button by changing the icon or background and foreground colors, etc.

After you leave the layout design by "save and exit flavor", there is still one more configuration in order to use launch button for displaying a web URL from Personas screen. If you do not customize SAP Screen Personas and maintain whitelist URLs for the target web address, users will experience below error message when they click on the launch button.

Maintaining whitelisted web URLs enables the SAP Personas administrator to control exits from the SAP Personas screens in a safe manner.

To maintain the whitelist URL addresses, call SAP SPRO customization transaction and follow below menu options:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Cross-Application Components > SAP Screen Personas > Maintain Whitelist URLs

When the customization screen is displayed, switch to New Entries screen for adding new web URLs to the existing whitelist URLs.

After the target web page address is added to the whitelist URL, SAP users can open the web address using the SAP Personas Launch Button.
