Material master data is used to represent and identify each item, product or service that a company is producing, selling or processing over that material.
While creating Material Master Data material type is a mandatory field that should be defined for each master data record in SAP systems.
Material Type is a major data which identifies what data is relevant to the related material and identifies basic behaviours of the material.
